NEPAL VISA INFORMATION 

Tourist Visa for Nepal can be obtained while arrival at the Kathmandu Tribhuwan international airport and at border entry points in Birgunj, Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa, Kakadvitta, Gaddachowki on the Nepal-India border & Kodari on the Nepal-China border.

If your visa get expired or if you want extend, you can go to the Department of Immigration, Kalikasthan Kathmandu to renew your visa date.

VISA REQUIREMENTS 

A valid passport & one passport - size photo. Visa can be obtained by payment of cash in the following currency: American Dollar, Euro, Japanese Yen, Swiss Franc, Australian Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, Pound sterling and Canadian Dollar.

For the tourist of SAARC country, free visa up to 30 days.

 

For INDIAN citizen visa is not required. However, if they enter Nepal through air, they have to show identification certificate certified by India government (Election Commission card/passport). The children below Ten years do not need to show identification certificate.

 

Nepal Visa for Chinese Citizen

As per official circular of the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing, China, Chinese citizen applying for tourist visa to Nepal are being provided (gratis tourist visa) from 5th January 2016. 

 

Note: There are some few countries namely Palestine, Liberia, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iraq, Afghanistan, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Cameroon and Somalia. People from these countries do not get visa on arrival from the immigration entry points of Nepal. They need to obtain visa from Nepal Embassies or Diplomatic Missions in their respective country.
