The Manaslu Trek is a famous trekking route in Nepal, known for its stunning mountain scenery and rich cultural experiences. It usually takes around 15 days to complete, depending on the specific itinerary and side trips. The Manaslu Trek in Nepal is a popular and challenging trekking route that takes you around the eighth highest mountain in the world, Mount Manaslu and passes through diverse landscapes, remote villages, and high mountain passes. It's considered a great alternative to the more crowded Annapurna circuit trek.

Important Information 

  • We assign one porter for every two trekkers. Every trekker should make only 10 kg weight of duffel bag which will be carried by the porter.  If you have more luggages you can leave non-trekking items at the hotel in Kathmandu. 
  • Trekkers should carry daily necessities and their valuables items themselves like mobile phones, camera, Gopro, cash, water bottle, sunscreen, toiletries etc. 

 

Itinerary

Once you land Kathmandu airport, our representative will greet you in airport and transfer to pre-booked hotel. Take an evening tour to nearby local market. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu with bed and breakfast basis.

Today, after breakfast you will enjoy Kathmandu sightseeing with our professional guide. You will visit world heritage sites such as Pashupatinath Hindu Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa, Kathmandu durbar square (ancient palaces of Malla Kings. Overnight at hotel with bed & breakfast basis. 

We will drive early morning from Kathmandu to Soti Khola which takes normally around 7-8 hours. En route, we can stop for lunch and tea break. Although the road is bumpy and dusty, you will enjoy watching best landscapes from window. Overnight at guesthouse with breakfast, lunch and dinner basis. 

Today, you will start your trek, walking through the twisting road on the bank of the Budhi Gandaki River. Once we reach hot spring in tatopani we will take short break. After short break we will resume our trek. We will trek through beautiful villages including Khorlabes, Dovan, Thulo Dunga and reach Jagat for night stay.  Overnight at guesthouse with breakfast, lunch and dinner basis.

Today, we trek rocky ridge to reach Salleri and continue our path towards Sirdibas. After short break we resume our trek to Ghatta Khola and cross long suspension bridge to reach a Gurung village at Phillim. We continue our trek to reach Ekle Bhatti, where we will have lunch break. After lunch break again we continue our trek from a steep gorge and cross the gurgling river Budhi Gandaki and pass through bamboo forest to reach the Deng village. Overnight at Guesthouse with Breakfast, lunch and dinner basis. 

Today, we will start our trek towards Namrung. After our breakfast we will resume our trail through winding path which take you to various beautiful villages. We continue our trek through various uphill and downhill and cross beautiful bridge arrive at Bihi Phedi. En route we will cross beautiful Rhododendron and pine forest. After walking alongside the river bank and crossing river, you will reach beautiful Namrung village for night stay. Overnight at Guesthouse with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner basis. 

Witnessing the unique lifestyles of the Local people, we will resume our trek walking several mani walls, local houses, lush terraces.  As you approach towards Lho you will see many local peoples wearing their traditional Tibetan dress. You will see some fine paintings in the Kani (gate arches) that you cross before Sho. After walking across the hillside  routes, we will reach Lho. Overnight at Guesthouse with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner basis. 

Today, we will trek through a forested path and then barley fields. After walking some time, we will reach Lihi from where you will get incredible mountain views of snow capped mountains including Himal Chuli and Ganesh Himal. We will descend along the trails to enter magnificent valley and cross over the Hinang River. After lunch break we will do a steep walk in the Chortens to get the amazing views of Ngadi Chuli. We will trek further and reach Ribung monastery.   

We will trek further to Shyala village and crossing the Numla Khola suspension bridge and gentle trail uphill take us to Samagaon. Overnight at Guesthouse with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner basis. 

Today, we will hike base camp of the worlds eight highest mountain Manaslu and beautiful Birendra lake. You will dip yourself into the hidden gems of nature at 4620 meters height at Manaslu base camp. We will have pack lunch and spent quality time in nature and hike back to Samagaon for night stay. Overnight at Guesthouse with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner basis.

Today, after breakfast we start our trek descending path to river Budhi Gandaki along the base camp trail. Our trail passes through Juniper trees, cross the bridge then steep climb to a ridge. We will trek through various barren lands observing incredible snow-capped mountains views lead us to Samdo, where we will stay for the night. You will get chance to experience Tibetan Buddhist culture. Overnight at Guesthouse with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner basis.

Today, our trek start with a descent through beautiful fields to an old stone arch before we cross the wooden bridge to beautiful Larka Bazaar from where you reach Pana Danda valley. We will pass through grassy slopes to Syacha Khola valley. Through our hike we will get majestic mountain views and off course views from viewpoint are pretty awe-inspiring. After enjoying stunning views of Larkya Glacier we will hike an hour to reach Dharamsala. Overnight at Guesthouse with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner basis.

After, early morning breakfast we will hike to the Ablation valley, on the left hand side of the Larkya Glacier, from where we will enjoy incredible views of Larkya peak and Cho Danda. Following along the glacier moraine, we start a steady ascent to Larkya La pass, festooned with Buddhist prayer flags and majestic mountains views. After having great time at the Larkya la we will descend to beautiful village Bimthang. Overnight at Guesthouse with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner basis.

After yesterday’s tough hike on the Larkya-La pass, today is pleasant walk on the gradual downhill through the beautiful Gho village trails enters through pristine woodlands full of Rhododendrons, oak tree and pines forest. Once we left Bimthang our trails mostly goes downhill through Phurke Khola then eventually reach Tilje village for night stay. Overnight at Guesthouse with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner basis.

Today, after having breakfast we will have 3 hours ride by local sharing vehicle to reach Besisahar. Once we arrive at Bensisahar, our private car will be waiting to take us Kathmandu city. After having 6-7 hours scenic drive we will reach Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel with bed and breakfast basis.

Today, our company representative will meet you and transfer to airport for your final departure.

Yes, our company representative will come to greet you in airport. He will be displaying your name plate outside the airport terminal. You will be transferred to your pre-booked hotel by our vehicle.

Manaslu Circuit trek is suitable for those kinds of travelers who is physically fit, no previous experience is required. To condition yourself for the trek, some physical fitness programs such as running, hiking and swimming are recommended before you embark on your journey. Any person suffering from a pre-existing medical condition or diseases must seek medical advice before considering any journey.

Best season for Manaslu trek is usually March-May and October-November.

Weather in the mountains is very difficult to predict. At night it is generally cold and the days are generally warm. The temperature could be as high as 30 degree Celsius to -15 degree Celsius low.

During trek guesthouse does not facilitate with heater or air conditioner so we recommend to bring your own sleeping bag.

Most of the place there is wifi access which you can use free of cost. Also you can buy sim card and use data for internet. 

In the cities, off course yes but once you are outside of the city area, all you have to pay in cash. Also you have exchange the currency in Nepal rupees before you go outside the cities.

Generally, in Kathmandu you can allocate USD 15-20 for lunch and dinner. During Manaslu trek USD 15 to 20 per person a day will be enough to buy bottles of water, chocolates, biscuits, pay for the hot shower and a few drinks. 

Yes, charging facilities is available in every guesthouse and lodges.

There are lots of restaurants available in Kathmandu city area where you can find American, continental, Chinese, Korean, Indian etc. But in trekking route most guest houses menu you may find noodles soup, steam mo:mo, Nepali dal bhat, green salad, finger chips, eggs, potatoes, fresh vegetables. Also you can get tea, coffee, hot lemon, hot chocolate. 

Guesthouses mostly serve the vegetarian meals so there is no problem at all for vegetarian. Also we always recommend our guest to eat vegetarian meals to avoid food poisoning. Non-veg meals at high altitude are not good for stomach.

Yes, they have license of trekking guide.

Actually tipping is not compulsory, but small gesture of thanks to your guides. The level of the tip reflects the level of satisfaction from and personal involvement with your guide.

If incase any casualties, travel insurance company will compensate your incurred expenses. In case of emergency chopper rescue, the chopper charge in Nepal is quite expensive; this is also compensated by insurance company. So always make confirm that your insurance policy recovers all the hospital and chopper rescue charges.
