Upper Mustang Permit

Upper Mustang restricted area permit (USD 500 per person) and Annapurna conservation area permit (USD 30 per person). There must be minimum two peoples in a group to obtain upper Mustang restricted area permit.   • We suggest getting personal travel insurance (mandatory) which covers emergency rescue & evacuation.

  • Please take care of your own equipment and motorbike, Company will not be responsible for any loss of equipment costs for recovery.

Itinerary

Arrival at Tribhuwan-International airport (Kathmandu). Our company representative will meets you in Kathmandu airport and transfer to pre-booked hotel. Overnight at hotel with Bed & Breakfast basis. 

Kathmandu sightseeing tour by professional English speaking tour guide. You will visit main attraction of Kathmandu valley which is listed in World Heritage Site such as Pashupatinath, Swyambhunath (Monkey temple), Boudhanath Stupa (biggest Buddhist stupa in Asia), Kathmandu durbar square (ancient palaces of Malla kings). Overnight at hotel with Bed & Breakfast basis.

Bike ride hours: 6/7 hours | 200 km 
Ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara goes through the Tribhuwan highway. Picturesque views of mountain-top villages and busy roadside settlements will keep you enthralled. At Mugling, you cross a bridge and leave the Tribhuvan Highway and approach the Prithvi Highway. Enjoy the scenery as the road winds along with scenic vistas. After driving for a few hours you arrive in Pokhara. Overnight at hotel with Bed & Breakfast basis. 

Ride hours: 5/6 hours | 160 km 
Ride from Pokhara goes through the winding roads of the high Hills. There are small markets and villages on the way. From Beni we start our journey in gravel road. Overnight at Guesthouse with breakfast, lunch & dinner basis.

Ride hours: 4/5 hours | 60 km
After official formalities of Special permit at Kagbeni we resume our ride and reach Chuksang village, Crossing Kaligandaki, visit ancient Buddhist Stupas, Chella Village, Samar Village, Syangboche, Bhina, Ghiling, Ghami village, Beautiful Landscape, Local Farmer houses with Yak and houses caravan, Tibetan culture and local activities. Overnight at Guesthouse with breakfast, lunch & dinner basis.

Visit Chhosar cave, Khangchuling cave, Jhong cave, NYFU Monastery, Chhonup Village, Nymagel Village and Tingkar Village, Namgyal Monastery and local activities. Overnight at Guesthouse with breakfast, lunch & dinner basis.

Ride hours: 5/6 hours 
Today we will ride to Hindu holy temple Muktinath. Explore ancient Muktinath village. Holy temple complex of Muktinath and 108 taps dedicated to lord Vishnu, Jawala Devi where you can see the fire lighting itself (Natural gas).Overnight at Guesthouse with breakfast, lunch & dinner basis. 

Ride hours: 5/6 hours.  
Ride through Kaligandaki gorge, Kaligandaki river you will enjoy Incredible views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Tukuche Peak & local activities. Enjoying bath in natural hot water spring in Tatopani. Overnight at Guesthouse with breakfast, lunch & dinner basis. 

Ride hours: 4/5 hours. 
Today you will ride to Pokhara via Kusma where you can experience world second highest bungee jump and many other adventure activities. Overnight at Guesthouse with breakfast, lunch & dinner basis. 

Sightseeing around Pokhara, visit international Mountain museum, Davis fall, Gupteshowr Mahadev Cave and Peace Pagoda. Afternoon you will enjoy boating at Phewa Lake. Overnight at hotel with Bed & Breakfast basis.

Ride hours: 6/7 hours | 200 km
After breakfast we will ride to Besisahar. We will drive through Prithivi higway, Bahunbhanjyang Road. Overnight at hotel with bed & breakfast basis. 

Transfer to airport for final departure. Our company representatives will transfer you to airport by private vehicle for your final departure.

Upper Mustang motorbike tour is suitable for those kinds of travelers who know to ride motorbike perfectly and who is physically fit, no previous experience is required. To condition yourself for the ride, some physical fitness programs such as running, hiking and swimming are recommended before you embark on your journey. Any person suffering from a pre-existing medical condition or diseases must seek medical advice before considering any journey. 

Yes, our company representative will come to greet you in airport. He will be displaying your name outside the airport terminal. You will be transferred to your pre-booked hotel by our vehicle.

Best season for upper mustang trip is usually March-May and October-November. 

Weather in the mountains is very difficult to predict. At night it is generally cold and the days are generally warm. The temperature could be as high as 30 degree Celsius to -15 degree Celsius low.

During trip guesthouse does not facilitate with heater or air conditioner. 

We provide CX 250 SE and CF 250 Xz for Upper Mustang trip. 

Some place there is internet access which you can use by paying some charges. Also you can buy sim card for your cell phone. 

In the cities, off course yes but once you are outside of the city area, all you have to pay in cash. Also you have exchange the currency in Nepal rupees before you go outside the cities. 

Generally, in Kathmandu and Pokhara you can allocate USD 15-20 for lunch and dinner. During Upper Mustang trip USD 10 to 15 per person a day will be enough to buy bottles of water, chocolates, biscuits, pay for the hot shower and a few drinks.  

Yes, charging facilities is available in every guesthouse and lodges.

There are lots of restaurants available in Kathmandu and Pokhara city area where you can find American, continental, Chinese, Korean, Indian etc. But in trip route most guest houses menu you may find noodles soup, steam mo:mo, Nepali dal bhat, green salad, finger chips, eggs, potatoes, fresh vegetables. Also you can get tea, coffee, hot lemon, hot chocolate. 

Along your trip we can add days at your request with additional costs to cover necessary arrangements. 

Guesthouses mostly serve the vegetarian meals so there is no problem at all for vegetarian. Also we always recommend our guest to eat vegetarian meals to avoid food poisoning. Non-veg meals at high altitude are not good for stomach.

Hot water in bucket will be provided for shower and you have to pay for hot water. 

Yes, they have license of trekking guide. 

Actually tipping is not compulsory, but small gesture of thanks to your guides. The level of the tip reflects the level of satisfaction from and personal involvement with your guide.
