Manaslu Region

The Manaslu region trek in Nepal is a popular trekking route that offers stunning views of Mt. Manaslu, the eighth highest peak in the world. The best seasons are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). These times offer the most stable weather and clear views.

Typically, the trek takes around 14 to 18 days, depending on the specific route and pace. The trek is considered strenuous, suitable for experienced trekkers. It involves high altitudes, with the highest point being the Larkya La Pass at 5,135 meters. The trek mainly offers teahouse accommodations, which are basic lodges providing meals and a place to overnight stay.

Usually after around 5 hours drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola, our trek start and follows the Budhi Gandaki River, passing through diverse landscapes, including lush forests, terraced fields, and high mountain passes. Along the trek include many beautiful villages including Jagat, Deng, Machha Khola, Namrung, Samagaon, Samdo, and finally crossing the Larkya La Pass.

The region is culturally rich, with many old monasteries and traditional villages. The trek provides an opportunity to experience the culture and unique lifestyle of the local Tibetan and Nepalese communities.

Trekkers need several permits, including the Manaslu Restricted Area Permit, Manaslu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP), and the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP).
