Buddhist Pilgrimage trip is the best way to get details about birth place of Buddha, Buddhist religion and meditation from Lama. This special package will give you the details information about birth of Siddhartha Gautam and how he became Buddha. This pilgrimage package also provide chance to experience culture, tradition of Buddhist religion and more information about Buddha and his philosophy.

Buddhist Pilgrimage tour started from the Kathmandu valley and move to the Lumbini, the birth place of Lord Buddha. The tour begins from the sightseeing of the World biggest Boudhanath Stupa and famous Swayambhunath Stupa lies in the top of the hill. Both Stupa are major places having holy regard with Buddhism along with religious faith. Swayambhunath Stupa is also called monkey temple has historic data found a stone engraving in the 5th century whereas World biggest unique structure’s Boudhanath Stupa has a great influence on Tibetan Buddhism from 1950s. Moreover Kapan and Namo Boudha is one of the famous shrines with best view point.

During Lumbini trip you can visit the various beautiful monastery built by different countries and the historical Maya Devi temple, Bodhi Tree, World Peace Pagoda and Maya Devi pond. This tour is not just pilgrimage purpose but you will also get chance to enjoy the trip with historical aspect.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Welcome to Nepal – Kathmandu.

Arrival at Kathmandu airport, our company representative will come to greet you in airport and transfer to pre-booked hotel. After short refreshment in hotel, you will visit our office for short orientation program. Evening time enjoy walk around the Thamel and local market Asan bazaar. Overnight at hotel with Bed & Breakfast basis.

Day 2 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu & drive to Dhulikhel.

After breakfast visit Swayambhunath Stupa and Boudhanath stupa with professional license holder guide, you will enjoy your lunch break in Boudha with spectacular views of Boudh stupa. Drive to hotel, after short refreshment in hotel you will drive to Dhulikhel. Overnight at hotel with Bed & Breakfast basis.

Day 3 : Sightseeing Namo Boudha monastery and drive back to Kathmandu.

Today, after breakfast you will drive half an hour to reach Namo Boudha monastery which is one of the sacred place of Buddhist religion. You will enjoy full day sightseeing around Namo Boudha monastery. Evening time drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel with Bed & Breakfast basis.

Day 4 : Fly to Bhairahawa airport, Lumbini.

After breakfast enjoy 30 minutes scenic flight to reach Bhairahawa airport which is closest airport to Lumbini. After short refreshment at hotel you will enjoy full day sightseeing where you will visit The Sacred Lumbini Garden, Maya devi temple, Lumbini Museum, World Peace Pagoda and west monastic zone. Overnight at hotel with Bed & Breakfast basis.

Day 5 : Sightseeing at Tilaurakot.

After breakfast drive to Tilaurakot, childhood home of Gautam Buddha and place where Buddha spent princely life before starting his journey to enlightenment. After sightseeing drive back to hotel. Overnight at hotel with Bed & Breakfast basis.

Day 6 : Fly back to Kathmandu.

After breakfast enjoy scenic flight to Kathmandu. After arriving Kathmandu airport transfer to hotel. After short refreshment drive to Kapan monastery for meditation with lama. Evening time drive back to hotel. Overnight at hotel with Bed & Breakfast basis.

Day 7 : Transfer to airport for final departure.

Today, you will enjoy souvenir shopping at Thamel. After shopping you will transfer to airport for your final departure.

Memorable Pilgrimage Tour In Nepal

This is my second time booking with Himalayan Excursion Nepal. Mukesh is my go to when it comes to organizing a trip to Nepal and planning the most incredible experience. I completed Annapurna Base Camp in April and came back to do Buddhist pilgrimage tour in October. We went as a private group with our guide Norbhu and driver Nabin. I had such a fantastic experience from the start to the end. Getting into Swayambhunath stupa was very beautiful and we went to boudhanath stupa which was great. I get a chance to know about the Buddhist culture. It was a memorable moments. I highly recommend Himalayan Excursion Nepal for tour and trekking. I will come back for Hindu pilgrimage tour.
