Itinerary

Once you arrive at Tribhuwan airport Kathmandu, Where our company representative will meet you and transfer to the pre-booked hotel. 

Start the day with breakfast at hotel. Submit your passport and necessary documents (photos, travel permits, etc.) to our company representative. Our company will handle the Tibet visa application process with the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu. While your Tibet visa is being processed, explore the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu:

Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple): Visit this iconic hilltop stupa with panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley. Admire the ancient architecture, prayer wheels, and resident monkeys. 
 

Pashupatinath Temple: A sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located along the Bagmati River. Witness traditional cremation rituals on the ghats (banks of the Bagmati river). 

 

Boudhanath Stupa: One of the largest stupas in the world and a center of Tibetan Buddhism. Walk around the stupa, spinning prayer wheels and soaking in the spiritual ambiance. 

 

Kathmandu Durbar Square: Explore the historic royal square with ancient palaces, courtyards, and temples.

Today, after breakfast at hotel we will begin our ride following the scenic road through the Trishuli Highway, offering views of lush hills, rivers, and traditional Nepalese villages. We will stop at Nuwakot for short tea break and resume our ride until Trisuli bazar for lunch break. We ride through mostly paved roads with some challenging sections closer to Syabrubesi. You will get chance to experience the local Tamang culture and enjoy the tranquil environment of Syabrubesi, which serves  as a gateway to Langtang Valley.

This day is crucial for acclimatization, as you'll be entering higher altitudes in Tibet over the next few days. Our journey begins with a short ride to the Nepal-Tibet border (Friendship Bridge). After completing exit procedures on the Nepal side at Rasuwagadhi cross the friendship bridge into Tibet (China), take a while for entry formalities, including visa and permit checks. The area offers stunning views of snow-capped peaks and a unique Tibetan cultural atmosphere. Explore the small town, interact with locals, and savor Tibetan cuisine. Road conditions are mixed, with some well-paved sections in Tibet.

After breakfast, you'll commence your ride from Kerung, The route ascends to the world's highest plateau, offering expansive views of the Tibetan landscape. Along the way, you'll cross high mountain passes adorned with Buddhist prayer flags, providing panoramic vistas of the Himalayas. The journey features stunning views of the Himalayas, including peaks like Mount Cho Oyu (8,201 meters) and Mount Xishapagma (8,012 meters). You'll also encounter beautiful lakes and local Tibetan settlements, offering a glimpse into the unique daily activities of the region's inhabitants. Upon reaching Tingri, located at an elevation of approximately 4,300 meters, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy views of Mount Everest and other neighboring peaks. Tingri is a distinctive Tibetan town that serves as a gateway for expeditions to Mount Everest.

Begin the day with an early morning ride from Tingri, enjoying the breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Ride through the famous Gawu La Pass (5,198 meters), offering panoramic views of some of the world’s highest peaks, including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. Take a detour to reach EBC via rugged, off-road trails. Spend time exploring the base camp and marveling at the stunning north face of Mt. Everest. Take photos and absorb the grandeur of the world’s highest mountain. After visiting EBC, ride back to Rongbuk Monastery, located about 8 km from the base camp. Rongbuk is the highest monastery in the world and offers spectacular views of Mt. Everest. Visit the monastery and learn about its significance in Tibetan Buddhism. Check into the guesthouse.

We begin our the day early from Xegar (also known as Shekar). The town serves as a gateway to Mount Everest and offers stunning views of the Himalayas. Ride through crossing high-altitude plateaus and rolling hills. You’ll pass through beautiful Tibetan villages, where you can witness locals tending to their daily activities. Ascend the Gyatso La Pass (5,220 m), one of the highest points of the journey. Enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks. Take a short break for photos and videos. After the pass, descend gradually towards Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet. The terrain becomes less rugged as you approach the fertile Tsangpo Valley. After riding a while you will arrive in Shigatse and check in to your hotel.

Early morning visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama, to admire its intricate murals and the giant statue of the Maitreya Buddha. The journey takes you through picturesque landscapes, including open plains, rolling hills, and glimpses of rural Tibetan villages. Enjoy panoramic views of the Nyang Chu River Valley. Once we arrive at Gyantse we will Visit the Pelkor Chöde Monastery, known for its unique combination of Tibetan,  
and Nepali architectural styles. Climb the Gyantse Kumbum, a nine-story stupa housing hundreds of small chapels filled with stunning Buddhist statues and paintings.

After breakfast, begin our ride towards Lhasa, enjoying the breathtaking scenery along the way. Pass through the Karo La Glacier (5,010 m), one of the most spectacular sights in Tibet, with its glistening ice and snow-covered peaks towering above the road. Stop at Yamdrok Tso (4,794 m), one of Tibet's three sacred lakes. Admire its turquoise waters surrounded by snow-capped mountains. This is a perfect stop for photos and videos. Enjoy panoramic views of Yamdrok Lake from the Kampala Pass. Arrive in Lhasa by early evening. Check into your hotel and relax. After short rest visit the bustling Barkhor Street market, where you can experience local

Drepung Monastery, located 5 km west of Lhasa, is one of the largest and most significant monasteries in Tibet. It was founded in 1416 by Jamyang Chöje, a disciple of Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism. At its peak, Drepung housed over 10,000 monks and served as a critical center for religious learning and training. It also served as the residence of the Dalai Lamas before the construction of the Potala Palace.

Today after breakfast we will depart from Lhasa and ride back to Sigatse, The journey offers diverse landscapes, including the scenic Yalong Valley. Once arrival in Sigatse, you will check into your hotel and have the rest of the day free to relax or explore the city at your leisure.

Begin our day with a hearty breakfast at hotel. Depart Shigatse and ride along the friendship highway. The route offers stunning landscapes of Tibetan plateaus, villages, and prayer flags fluttering in the wind. You can take a quick detour to explore Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama. We stop for lunch in Lhatse, a small town en route. It's a great place to refuel and stretch before heading into higher altitudes. We continue our ride crossing the high-altitude Gyatso La Pass, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayan range. Be prepared for colder temperatures and 
strong winds at the pass. After the pass, descend into Tingri Valley. Tingri is known for its proximity to Mt. Everest and other peaks, offering a glimpse of Everest's north face on clear days. Upon arrival in Tingri check in guesthouse, If time and energy permit, take a walk through the small town to interact with locals or visit nearby monasteries.

We start our day with a warm breakfast at guesthouse. We will depart from Tingri and ride along the scenic friendship highway. If the weather is clear, stop at viewpoints along the way to enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest. We will cross the high-altitude Nyalam Pass. The terrain gradually changes as you descend into greener valleys. On the way we will stop in Nyalam for lunch break at Nyalam, a small town often referred to as the "Gateway to Tibet." As we continue riding, descent to Kerung Valley. You will notice the landscape transitioning to lush greenery and forests. The descent offers dramatic views of waterfalls and gorges. Arrive in Kerung, the border town connecting Tibet with Nepal. This town sits at a lower altitude and provides a more comfortable climate. Check-in at Hotel in Kerung, take rest and prepare for the next day's border crossing.

After breakfast in Kerung, we begin our ride from Kerung to the Rasuwa Gadhi border crossing, after completing immigration and customs formalities on both sides. Be prepared for some waiting time, as procedures may take a few hours. After immigration formalities we leave Tibet and enter Nepal. Once we enter Nepal the roads become more ruggd and scenic. The journey transitions into lush greenery, winding mountain roads, and small villages. We will stop for lunch break at a roadside café or local restaurant along the way for authentic Nepali food. After lunch break we will resume our ride to approach Kathmandu valley. Check in to hotel in Kathmandu.

Start the day with a relaxed breakfast at your hotel in Kathmandu. Depending on your flight schedule, you can use your remaining time to explore the local area, shop for souvenirs in Thamel. Hotel Check-Out please ensure all luggage and belongings are packed and ready. Our private vehicle will take you to Tribhuvan International Airport. The journey typically takes 30–45 minutes, but allow extra time for traffic in Kathmandu. Arrive at the airport 3 hours before your flight
