Tibet aka “roof of the world” is remote and Buddhist dominant autonomous region of China. Tibet shares Mount Everest with Nepal. Lhasa is the capital of this city. This name Tibet is derived from Mongolian thubet, Chinese tufan, Tai thibet and Arabic tubbat. It is one of the most secluded regions on the earth. Tibetans are friendly and have hospitality to visitors. Tibet is very popular for its renowned monasteries, religious festivals and Tibetan Buddhism.

Popular foods in Tibet you must try are Tsampa, Tibetan Yak Meat, Tibetan Momo, Tibetan Noodle Soup (Thukpa), Tibetan Yogurt, Dre-si. Best time to visit Tibet is from May to October when weather is very favorable and oxygen content is relatively higher. Tibet is usually closed during the month of February and March.
